Sophie Schaeffer

Sophie is a student at Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She currently works with the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism and is a fellow with the Carnegie-Knight News21 program.
Previously, she served as Visuals Editor for The State Press, where she led visual storytelling and multimedia production. She is also interning with a new local accountability newsroom called The Beam. 
Sophie is passionate about investigative and visual storytelling, community service, travel, and the outdoors. She is proficient across Adobe Creative Suite—including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator—and is experienced working within Google Workspace and across all major social media platforms.
